Eric and I both turned 33 this week.  Last weekend we celebrated by sending the boys off to the grandparents and enjoyed a low-key, relaxing weekend.

We also ate dinner at P.F. Changs.  It was delicious, as always.

We also went to see The Five-Year Engagement.  We caught up on The Killing.  We went to The Parade of Homes.  And we slept in. (cue the angels singing!)

This weekend we celebrated Mother's Day.  Charlie gave me a drawing that he made of me.

Cannon gave me a card that he made at preschool and then was disappointed that there wasn't much in this holiday for him.

We had cupcakes.  Unfortunately, they look better than they tasted.

But most importantly, we celebrated another year of this life.  Another year together.  Another year blessed beyond measure.

Nothing says love on Valentine's Day like a membership to the Bacon of the Month Club.

happy father's day....

We celebrated last night since Eric had to work today. We had Eric's dad over to my parent's house and my dad cooked us all a delicious steak dinner. Luckily my dad likes to cook and didn't mind having to prepare his own Father's Day meal. He probably knew that I shouldn't even attempt to cook a steak dinner...it would probably not be pretty. We played some bocce ball in the backyard and just enjoyed the beautiful evening. Cannon missed most of the celebration since he was in bed by 6:30pm. He was a super crab all day so into bed early for him!

Happy Father's Day to my wonderful dad, my amazing husband and my caring father-in-law. My boys are so lucky to have three men in their lives that they can really look up to.

currently....

He.....
is still loving everything Broadway and is making plans to go to Vegas to see The Lion King (all his idea). And since he will be there anyway, he might as well go backstage to meet the characters (this is what he told me yesterday).

is going to a new school and is making lots of progress with cutting and fine motor skills.
is so happy the weather is nice and is loving being outside.

is having trouble with potty accidents. (I am at my wits end with this one!)

He......
has really shown a lot of progress this week with grabbing. And even though he still hates tummy time, he is doing much better with it when you put him on the boppy pillow. I can see that his muscles are getting much stronger.

is in love with his big brother.

does not like to go on walks in the stroller, but likes if we put his carseat in the wagon so he can see all the action. (we have to prop it up with a phone book which I am sure it is not the safest, but anything at this point to keep him happy! Eric is going to get a bungee cord so it will be more secure.)

He.......
is working like crazy lately. He has beat all his sales goals this month and if he stays on track, will most likely be the number one sales agent in his region (all of Idaho and Utah) for April.

is struggling with his allergies again this year.

is looking forward to having this weekend off.

She.......
is looking forward to going to a crop this weekend and working on her gallery for Freehand Scraps.

was a dummy and got a sunburn at the park yesterday. Mostly just her neck, but her arms are a little sensitive too. Cannon loves to claw at her neck which is making her not so happy.

has been reflecting a lot on the last year and thinking about a big birthday she has next month.

eric's wild hog...

We had been talking for a while about what to do about Eric's Land Rover. He LOVED that car, but it was only getting about 10-11 mpg and it required premium gasoline! It was $100.00 to fill it up and he was getting only about 200 miles per tank. His job does not require a lot of driving since it is so close, but it still just seemed to be costing us a lot. He mentioned to me that he would like to get a scooter. My first reaction was No Way! as I had flashbacks to the motorcycle that he had to have when we lived in Denver shortly after we got married. He ended up not liking the motorcycle as much as he thought he would since the traffic was pretty scary in Denver and it definitely has a cold winter for a sport bike! He only had the motorcycle for about 6 months before we sold it and bought a Ford Ranger. Anyway, the more we thought about how much we would save (and the more he begged! :), it made sense for us to get the scooter. Here she is in all her glory:

I think Eric loves it as much as he loved his Land Rover so I think he is happy. Since the baby will be here in the winter and I will no longer be working at Archiver's, we really only need one car anyway. I did not want to drive it at first because I was scared, but Eric talked me into driving it around the block and it was a lot of fun! You are all invited to drop by and take it for a test spin -you just might end up wanting one yourself! :)

happy father's day....

We had a great Father's Day weekend. On Friday night we went over to Rodger and Anita's for a BBQ. We grilled up some ribeyes and enjoyed the beautiful evening outside.
This morning we went to McDonalds for breakfast with my mom and dad and then Eric went to work for a little while. This afternoon we met up again with my parents and went bowling and then got some pizza. Just a fun, relaxing weekend spent with family.

Here are some pictures of the book I made for Eric. I made him one last year and he really seemed to like it, so I thought I would do it again this year.
