This little one decided it would be fun to shove a popcorn kernel up his nose.  I got a call at work from his daycare that he had been crying and saying that his nose hurt.  When they asked him about it he said he put "corn" up there.  They looked and didn't see anything but decided it would be best to call me.  I called his doctor and he said to come by right away.  As we waited in the waiting room, Cannon tilted his head back in the light just right and I could see the yellow kernel in there.  Ugh.  He really did it!  The doctor tried to get it out with the tweezers but Cannon started to freak out.  Then he suggested the nose blowing trick. He laid Cannon on his back, plugged his other nostril and asked me to put my mouth over Cannon's and give a quick blow.  I was nervous but followed his instructions.  The snotty kernel came shooting out on the first try and hit me in the cheek.  Eeeeeew.

All evening he kept saying "Mama, we don't put things in our noses" like I was the one having trouble remembering that rule.  I'm just hoping this was enough to prevent him from doing it again!
