I'm still plugging away on my monthly project life spreads.
This is how April turned out:
I used a lighter color scheme to complement the Easter photos. The entire left side was dedicated to all the Easter festivities.
You can't see it too well in the picture above, but that silver washi tape with the gold and white stars on it is my favorite right now. Love it.
The RAD metal badge from Hello Forever was perfect for this spread.
And here is May:
The photos from May were screaming for the brighter color scheme that I tend to gravitate to.
I love the itty bitty bags. They fit in the pocket perfectly and it is a nice place to tuck in some journaling.
This project has made me excited about scrapbooking again. I am catching up a little slower than I had hoped, but at least I am having a lot of fun doing it!

project life: february and march
Even though it has been a slow start, I am still plugging away on my project life. It has been easy to go back and fill in the previous months because of the stuff I have recorded through this blog, but I would like to get better about recording the funny things the boys say and all those small details that are so easily forgotten.
Here is February:
And March:
I feel like I am finally getting in the groove. These pages came together much easier than January and I like them a lot better too. I love this project.

april 2, 2012
I have been admiring all the Project Life pages and inspiration floating around in blogland and on Pinterest for months now. I love the concept and was planning on jumping on the bandwagon in December, but I just couldn't commit to the weekly format. It was just too much and I couldn't keep up. Then I had a light bulb moment....how about doing it monthly?!? This was exciting for me. I could still document our lives without a huge time commitment. I admit, I am not going to get as much everyday stuff in my album as I would with the weekly format. But with where I am at in my life right now, this is the perfect compromise for me.
I have finished the cover page and my January spread. I love it. I had a lot of fun with this and am excited to start on February. I can work on it whenever I have a few extra minutes and am wanting to do something creative. I am keeping it simple because I want it to stay fun. I don't want the guilt of having to "keep up".
I used the family photos that we had taken just before my dad's surgery on the cover page.
And the January spread:
I loved that I was able to get almost all of my journaling from my blog. Again, this is all very simple. No complicated techniques or anything to talk about. Just pictures, text and a few cute embellishments thrown in for good measure. :)
I do have to say that I LOVE those little alpha stickers from Jillibean Soup. I am definitely going to need every color.

daily photos, week 2 &3....
I have managed to finish up 3 whole weeks of taking a picture a day. I am so thrilled that I have stuck to it. I haven't put them in the album yet. I need to figure out a way to print them at home or find a local place that actually does a decent job. I also realized that I need to be jotting down some notes for what to include in the album when I get time to work on it. I would also like to include other details from the day besides just the photo.
